Drone Force Makes Impactful Appearance at Toronto Economic Forum II

Drone Force made a significant impact at the Toronto Economic Forum II, an event organized by the Delphi Economic Forum in collaboration with The Hellenic Initiative – Canada, Canada-Greece Chamber of Commerce, and the Hellenic-Canadian Board of Trade. Held in Toronto on Monday, October 23, 2023, the forum served as a vibrant platform for discussions on economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and the strengthening of ties between Canada and Greece.

In this international setting, Drone Force showcased its advancement in firefighting. Konstantinos Michanetzis, co-founder and CEO of  Seeders and co-founder and CTO Of Drone Force, discussed our innovative initiative that leverages drones on a large scale to combat forest fires.

Our approach is unique because we are deploying drones at an unprecedented scale. By forming alliances with various organizations, we are positioned to launch thousands of drones across Greece ready to be activated at a moment’s notice, ensuring immediate response when a fire breaks out, with the primary goal of extinguishing it, Mr. Michanetzis explained.

“We repurpose” he added, commercial drones, which are currently used in agricultural production to spray fields. We use these drones, retrofit them, and make them aerial firefighters. We have estimated that with about 3,000 drones we can cover all of Greece and the cost is about the same as a firefighting plane.”

The Drone Force innovation doesn’t stop at repurposing; the drones are equipped to dispense a substance that is far more effective than water in dousing flames. “This material will be used for firefighting that will be 16 times more effective than water and with four drones, we can drop the equivalent of two thousand liters of water “ Mr.Michanetzis concluded

The potential of the Drone Force technology has garnered significant attention beyond Greek borders, with notable interest arising from Canadian entities, a testament to the global relevance of this innovative solution to a pressing issue.  The forum also gave Drone Force an invaluable opportunity to engage with international stakeholders, potential investors, and partners, underscoring the global interest in drone technology and its applications. The discussions at the event highlighted the active role of the Greek Canadian community in Toronto’s social, economic, and political life, reinforcing the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two countries.

Drone Force’s participation in the Toronto Economic Forum II was a display of technological innovation and a statement of its commitment to addressing global challenges through advanced solutions. As the company continues to explore new frontiers in drone technology, its impact at the forum marks a significant milestone in its journey towards creating a safer and more sustainable future.
